I think I've gotten the hang of this device... It's intriguing, everything just shows up at the touch of a button; I can't say I've seen anything like it before, and it doesn't appear to be running on Psynergy either... But why I'm writing a journal (I think) at a time like this...!

I fell asleep in Vale and it looks more like Lemuria here; yet the civilization appears far too advanced (perhaps this is what Piers was saying it looked like in the Golden Age?), and it seems mostly inhabited by monsters. None of my friends are around. I haven't sleep-summoned for a long time but Flora's around, and she looks different, and for some reason I can't recall her. I still have all my other Djinn with me, which is a relief, but I know I'm not as strong without Lull, Aroma, and Luff set...

I wish there was a way I could find out what was going on. I tried talking to some of the monsters and they just spouted something about "data" and a "digital" (did I spell that right?) world, and then they'd spot Flora and go "bow chicka bow wow", whatever that means... Mind Read wasn't overly helpful either. Though I guess I should be grateful that A) they're not attacking and B) they can communicate at all...

Well, I don't see any of the usuals coming out to give the FAQ speech, so I'll have to do it.

You're in another world -- the Digital World. The monsters here are Digimon. Most of them are friendly, though there are a few exceptions. Most of us humans were called here to protect it from the Seven Demon Kings. Normally, your Digimon partner can explain a lot of this, but not if she came with you, I suppose. Piyomon didn't know most of this, either, since she was the Legendary Spirit of Wind back home.

I'm Izumi, by the way. Orimoto Izumi. And Piyomon is my partner.

What are psyngery and djinni?

Psynergy is...I've heard it called magic... It sometimes manifests as psychic abilities, but it's more commonly a certain level of manipulation over the elements. And Djinn are elemental spirits that boost our Psynergy and our strength.

(OOC: ...lulz, mixed up the plural and singular of Djinn. [headdesk])

All the humans (and other people, I suppose) end up with Digimon here to help them out.

Magic, really? And elemental spirits -- no one from my world had magic, and the only elemental spirits were from my world's Digimon world. They were sort of the essences of the Legendary Warriors -- who Piyomon, and the Digimon partners of my friends from my world.

Still are. Even as Child Digimon.

That's...interesting.

Oh, not everyone can use Psynergy, just Adepts... I think it's just people who live close to a source of Psynergy like Mt. Aleph or one of the Lighthouses.

Your world also had a digital world?

Psynergy...it s-sounds a b-bit like my world's c-chakra, a mix of both spiritual and bodily energy, people who had training a-are able to convert it into e-elements o-or use it t-to increase th-their strength.

Flora is... I think... An ancient spirit that I can call upon to help me and my friends, with the help of my Djinn. So in a way she is my Djinn, but then she...isn't.

So there are other worlds with something similar to Psynergy... This is all a lot to take in.

Do you have to do something when you're using Psynergy, or do you just concentrate? Hinata-chan has to use these hand signs to focus the...um...chakra.

Oh! And I'm Plotmon, nice to meet you Ivan-kun...-kun is a term of respect too, but it's not nearly as formal as -san, -san is kind of more of a "Mister" or "Sir".

It kind of depends... Some Psynergy are easier with hand gestures, there's some that only require concentration, my Mind Read needs skin contact... Some of my friends can cast their Psynergy without moving, but I find the gestures help me concentrate and sort of visualize it.

So what kinds of things can you do? Hinata-chan can see about 360 degrees when she uses her Byakugan. It focuses her chakra up too her eyes and her veins pop out and it's kind of awesome, but kind of really creepy at the same time.

Well, Adepts - people who can use Psynergy - are usually aligned with a specific element, and mine is the wind, so... I can control the wind and make tornadoes and call lightning and plasma. I can also bind others' Psynergy (I try not to, though, it is very scary being shut off from it), send other beings to sleep, temporarily raise my allies' physical strength or their resistance to the elements...and I can read minds and see hidden things or through mirages.

Wind's stubborn, though, it only does what I want if I'm really concentrating. :/ And sometimes when I'm sick or emotional I lose control over it.

I used to use Bind more often on our enemies, but then it got used on us once and I freaked out so much that when it wore off I...kind of caused a storm.

That's good, I was a bit concerned about that. I have friends who are healers but...they're not here, and my medicinal herbs and things will only last so long...

I-I've had s-some of my o-own techniques u-used against m-me. I-I wouldn't w-want to hurt another p-person with them...but...in my world it's k-kill or b-be killed. But...I'm n-not proud of it.

O-Oh, I c-can help m-make some h-healing solution once I know w-what kinds of plants a-are around here a-and what t-they do.

It's...a bit like that in my world, too.

That would be wonderful! Some of my friends knew more about the herbs and that than me, but they usually saw fit to concentrate on helping me train.
